weekend activities

After putting together his United States map puzzle...

Simeon: "Mama, where's Africa on this map?"
Mama: "Well, there are these things called continents" etc. etc.

pause...

Simeon: "So -- let's go to Africa this weekend!"

A day or so later after we had explained that this was fairly impossible, he comes up with the idea that we should "go boating" over the weekend. Where he learned the phrase, I have no idea, but he was sure that we could find someone with a boat and ask them, and they'd be happy to share it with us.
