two of a kind

Here's an ode to each of our girls.

Annamaria

Annamaria is the little one, the reddish one, the one that overreacts. Everything is dire to her! She cries when you change her diaper (she's got an awful rash) and she cries when you leave her alone to change her sister's diaper. She makes a funny little squeaking sound when she's not crying, which is pretty cute and sounds a little like a bird or mouse. She manages to wiggle over next to Eloise when they're sleeping, and she loves to lay on Francois' chest. Did I mention she's little? She's also the one who wakes up hungry first, 80-90 percent of the time. Here's a picture of her doing what she does best.

Eloise

Eloise is the bigger one... she's growing so well and I think is up to about 8 pounds. She's always game to eat, even though she's not usually the one who wakes up hungry. She loves to sleep, most of the time, and isn't so great at waking up. She doesn't squeak, but does snort quite a bit, much like a little piggy! She likes to yawn and stretch, isn't a big fan of bottles, and is for the most part pretty laid back. She can even sleep through her sister screaming right next to her. Here's a picture of her, busy trying to wake up so I can shovel some milk into her yet again.
