Our girls did well at their two-month checkup on Friday. Eloise weighed in at 8 pounds even, and Annamaria at 7 pounds even. They got two shots each, and stayed true to their temperments -- Annamaria screamed for awhile, and Eloise cried for a couple seconds and was fine. They also drank up an oral rotovirus vaccine, which has given Annamaria a little bit of the runs for a couple days. It doesn't seem to bother her and she's fine otherwise, but it's weird to have such a small baby with diapers that actually stink!
A comparison is bound to happen -- nine weeks old these girls are, and still they don't weigh as much as their brother on the day he left the womb. Also, by this point he was sleeping through the night and they're not even close! They are getting more predictable, though, and I'm SURE any day now their social smiles will appear (can you tell I've been rooting for that one since Thanksgiving now?) One wonderful accomplishment is that on occasion each one makes sounds that aren't crying! Yay for coos.
