who else was hunting eggs???

So. The Easter Bunny tells me that he hid three dozen eggs during the night, but somehow only 17 of them (a little less than half!) were left this morning! We made Star Wars eggs; the "golden egg" was one with a plastic C3P0 mask on it, and even that was de-egged. We've seen a red fox around quite a bit, as well as a few raccoons, so something made out well and had a great Easter. In a few spots were shell remnants, but others didn't show any trace of the egg that had been hidden there! It's too bad, too, because S and Francois chugged around the yard in their rain pants, boots, and rain coats, with a weather-friendly "basket" that was a mop bucket lined with newspaper. Those eggs we did find had most of the dye washed off by the rain. Fortunately Simeon wasn't very disappointed, and I guess we learned something for next year's Hunt.
